Independent visual study investigating solitude in the digital age and the impact of our urban spaces.
'In Solitude' investigates the paradox between an interconnected digital society and the increasing loneliness within it. The blue reflects the ever-presence of digital displays, hinting at the fabricated digital reality transmitted through screens, saturating our spaces. Yet there, behind the screen, we find solitude, longing and disarming humanity.

Photojournalism project set in the favelas of Brazil.
'O Jogo Bonito' was created for international NGO World Vision throughout 2017. Working in the favelas of Recife and travelling throughout Brazil during the 2017 spring I found the rare opportunity to interact, witness and capture these communities from an intimate proximity. Throughout the photojournalism work I aim to transmit the gripping impression the favelas left - transmitting a momentary insight into these complex and resilient lives.

Photojournalism project reflecting on cultural identity in a continent balancing tradition and modernity.
This mixed media photojournalism project was created during a 1.5 year period crossing the Latin American continent largely by land. Travelling slowly and close to the road, the images are snippets of life playing out behind bus windows and between destinations - engulfed within the vast landscape of the continent. Influenced by the work of Paulo Coelho and Garcia Marquez’ magical realism, the images reflect on memory and time, and evolving cultural identities in a rapidly changing continent.
The project is accompanied by writing - which is published on Substack.
